It's more like the Berlin Brandenburg Airport or Half Life 3. They say "we are working on it" and by the time the projects are finished we will all be in a nursing home.
I'm not sure why Kalidwen hasn't made a post about this over here (she's just too busy I guess lol) but a new confirmed release date has been announced. Chapter Three is now scheduled for release on Friday the 16th of February, and to be honest I'm feeling pretty confident about this one. So it might just be time to start getting excited fellow Elven Kingdom fans :-)
Which year? Don't get me wrong, nobody is forced to develop a game like this. And the game is really great so far. Nevertheless, if the developer misses every timeline and doesn't meet any announcement (devlog, news announcement, etc), you can no longer expect anything to be released realistically. I stand by it, I believe that the game is dead and the "official" ending is just being tried to delay. But if I'm wrong, I won't be afraid to apologize.
An update is SUPPOSEDLY coming on the 30th, but I can't personally confirm as I'm not in Kalidwen's discord myself. This is just what I've heard from someone who IS in their discord. I do know however that progress is most certainly still being made
you know that for one person, creating such a large project is very time-consuming. But the author himself could write in one sentence whether the project is temporarily suspended or closed. I think that any explanation would be understood by those interested.

They tend to be in those rooms where you have to find an object. They can be rather well hidden so click around. One of them is on the map in chapter 2 in the lower right area.

Please never abandon this game. It is sincerely one of the very best I've ever played on Itch. It's pretty much the gold standard as far as I'm concerned! I eagerly await the next chapter.
Not trying to seem rude, but when is the next devlog? I understand games take a while and that's understandable, but having an update would be very helpful.
While we all eagerly and patiently await chapter 3, I wondered if anyone could help me find the last few scenes I'm missing (which I can't find for the life of me):
Prologue 11: ask Van'Elle for information about the druid and use it when talking to him.
Prologue 19: go in the forest with the guard as your escort and find the fountain (it is random, you might have to try a few times)
Chapter 2: 16: beat the spectre in the temple of Death;
55 58 and 60 have to do with Nova and Nad (the ones from our world), but played with x/m pictures off. This basically means that only Nova will be affected/shown so it's not a massive difference. Let go of the spell to get 60, I think the other two will just happen.
Ch1 #19: Dame Athanasia's mansion; don't subdue the guard, and don't look in the bedroom keyhole. Just find the key and go for the loot.
Ch2 #36: When entering the Temple District for the first time, you'll talk with the Grandmaster. Choose the "We're good friends" dialogue option when he asks about the Darkness, then apologize with the next dialogue.
OMG I LOVE SO MUCH IM TRYING TO 100% IT!!!!!!! Also question during the first chapter will whatever person you fell in love in effect the story at all? I think it would be cool at the beginning of the next chapter it asks who you fell in love with and maybe they could come back for some spanking actionnnnnn. Keep up the amazing work im getting so attached to these characters they are so well written!!!!!!!!!!

Kalidwen has a Discord server and is active on there so don't worry Chapter 3 is still very much alive and in development :-)

Ch1, #12: While walking with Duah and Mael in the forest, accept Mael's duel challenge and lose.
Ch2 #1: IIrc, this one should be unavoidable if you saved the merchant in the forest during the Prologue.
Ch2 #65: Click on the middle candle flame while searching Lady Carhen's house for the invitation.
