Hey hey my dudes and dudettes! I hope you are all well and that you had a good week. It was a good one here, but a busy one on the personal side (holidays tend to be that way ^^).

Like I said in the last devlog, what is left to do now is... doodles. Lots of them. Sooooo much of it! But it's what I enjoy doing, so no biggie ^^

It does mean that I won't have much to show in the next few devlogs, because I'd rather not spoil the scenes themselves... What I can say is that the Main Character and the Princess feature in a lot of them, in various fashions, hehehe. It's always been the goal to let the player be able to decide how things go, to a certain extent, and often that means having 2 versions of one scene, depending on the choices. It does add up over the course of the game, but one thing I've learnt is the importance of replayability for a lot of players. As I've touched on before, there will be a few cool things for that type of player, I think.

Weirdly enough, I wasn't too sure how many scenes were in this new chapter; I'm very old school in the way I work, I think, and most if not all of my notes are on paper (in a folder, and various notebooks). It's very nice to be able to write on the go, and I still like to sketch concepts on paper (with a ballpoint pen, weirdly enough), but it makes for a messy kind of workflow. The end result is pretty cool to flip through, though; I call it my Elven Kingdom bible. But anyway, I went through the actual script to check, and by my count there are about 60 new spanking scenes! That does include some additions to the previous chapters, but on balance it seems about right given the similar length to the previous one. 

So how many are done? Last week, I reckoned that about 10% of the art was done, meaning mostly the character art, with the expressions and all that. That seemed about right! This week, I've drawn 13 spanking scenes, which a little maths will tell you is 20% of the scenes. All in all, then, we're at roughly 30% overall. Is it enough progress? I dunno, art takes time! I do wish I could work quicker, but one thing I didn't want to do was to compromise on the quality of the art (such as it is), because that's the focus of this whole thing, really. Believe it or not, I have already cut quite a few ideas from the chapter, simply because it would have been too much to add at once. As always, it'll go on the "to add later pile". I think people overall have liked coming back and discovering new scenes here and there so I'm not too worried.

With at least 2 more chapters after this next one, there will be plenty of time to go back and make EK even more varied and full of naughtiness!

In the meantime, I will keep chugging and drawing. 2 pictures a day may not seem like much but they do take a few hours, and this is all done in my free time (thank goodness I don't have children or what-have-you). I'm excited, though, it's great to see all the scenes come to life as I add the art! I'm drawing them kind of chronologically so it's a nice way to go in and test the scenes as I go as well. I'll still need playtesters, mind you, but I've touched on that before.

All in all, it's going pretty well. I had hoped it would be finished this week but, as always, time is a cruel mistress (the best kind of mistress). See you next week!
