Chapter 2 is finally here!

In this chapter, our heroine goes to the Human city of Stonehold, looking after a stolen Dwarven Relic... Mysteries, new friends, and quite a lot of spanked butts await you!

This jumbo update adds about 70 unlockable pictures to the gallery, and a whopping 23000 words! It's taken a looooong time but I hope it'll be worth it!

Developing the game has been a fun time so far! When I started working on the prologue, I knew nothing of Ren'py, or programming, so it's been a fun journey of discovery for me as well as for our heroine ^^ In chapter one, I wanted to try and integrate mini-games and relationship statuses to the game, as well as push the narrative structure a little bit. In this new chapter, I wanted to learn how to make a more "open" adventure, where the player can choose to do things in different orders. Hence, the map. I think it is quite fun as is, but I also  see it as a framework to which I can add later.

What do I mean by this?

I won't lie, making it to the finish line was a challenge, because there were always new ideas that came up, new possibilities and "what ifs". Scope creep is real, you guys... So I cut, mercilessly, and there are quite a few ideas that are still developing in the background (some of it is already in the code, haha). Since the city is organised in different 'hubs', it would be really easy to add 'modules', or little new adventures here and there, if you see what I mean... I think having a schedule of smaller addons to the game could make it easier to develop, and hopefully should make the wait for the next chapter a little easier!

But for now, the main story is here, and it's fun (I think?). Some of the new characters are already favourites of mine (and some old friends return ^^).

I can't thank enough the people who have been supporting this project, be it with kind words, encouragement, playtesting, or cold-hard cash. I hope that the characters you've helped me create will bring you a lot of joy! The game will always be free, so don't feel like you have to spend a penny. But if you do, or already did, know that I am eternally grateful! (and yes, I have supporter pictures to finish still!)
